On May 10-13, 2022, the Project Development and Management Unit XII technical engineers conducted project site validations under LGSF-FALGU FY 2022, and Quality Assurance/Inspection to the critical projects of F.Y. 2021 Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) in various municipalities in the Province of Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and South Cotabato.

The 2nd Quarter DRR-CCA Focal Persons’ Conference held on 10 May 2022 via Zoom Teleconference provides a platform to discuss current concerns and issues on DRR-CCA program implementation among DILG Provincial Offices and local government units of Region 12, and further enhance the cooperation among Regional and Field Office program holders on disaster management. LOOK| In preparation for the National and Local Elections, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII conducted a Coordination Meeting attended by representatives from the Department of Health (DOH) and Integrated Provincial/City Health Office (iP/CHO), Police Regional and Provincial Offices, DILG Provincial and City Directors, and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs).
Atty. Michelle Anne P. Viejo discussed the Memorandum Circular No. 2022-056 on COVID-Proofing the National and Local Elections. Atty. Viejo highlighted the major responsibilities of the LGUs:
On May 4-5, 2022, The Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), conducts Coordination Meeting with Project Visit on the Reconstruction of Malungon Public Cemetery amounting to Php 10,000,000.00 under FY 2019 PMPC. They also provided a Technical assistance on the monitoring of all Locally-Funded Projects using the Department’s official monitoring platforms - SubayBAYAN and Rapid Sub-project Sustainability Assessment (RSSA) to the Focal Persons in the Municipalities of T’boli-, Ms. Jennylou Tornea, Surallah- Mr. Elmer Limpiado, Lake Sebu- Mr. Charles Edward P. Casas and Sto. Niño- Mr. Ralph James Duaves.
The Creation of Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence against Women and their Children, according to JMC 2010-1, provides the basic standards for the creation of a mechanism that will collaboratively address the problem of TIP and VAWC at the local level.
After the issuance of the JMC, the LCAT-VAWC will undergo a performance assessment to serve as the basis for policy and capacity development to strengthen the capability of LGUs in combating Trafficking in Person (TIP) and eliminating violence against women and their children.
