After the thorough SGLG assessment and validation, Reynaldo M. Bungubung, CESO IV, DILG Regional Director , spearheaded the conferment of the 2015 SGLG Post-Compliance markers to the following LGUs, viz:
Province:
1. Sarangani
2. Sultan Kudarat City
3. Koronadal
Municipality:
4. Antipas
5. Pigcawayan
6. Maasim
7. Malungon
8. T’boli
9. Esperanza
10. Kalamansig
The markers were conferred as a result of passing the 2015 indicators which were assessed during the 2016 SGLG implementation.
Twelve (12) emplyees from the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region XII participated in the Regional Speakers' Bureau Seminar on PHederalism last 25 April 2017 at Villa Amor Hotel, Koronadal City. The seminar aims to better equip thrmembers of bureau on the various issues on federalism as the department spearheads the information and advocacy campaign on the proposed shift to the federal state. Two representatives from the provinvces of South and North Cotabato, and Sarangani, while one (1) representative from Sultan Kudarat, General Santos and Cotabato City were present, along with three (3) Regional employees were in attendance. The DILG Provincial Office of Sarangani conducted the Operation LISTO Provincial Preparedness and Partnership Dialogue on April 6, 2017 at Sarangani Highlands General Santos City.
In attendance are some LCEs, Board Members, MLGOOs, P/MDRRMOs, COPs, FMs, CSOs and Youth Leaders. RD Reynaldo M. Bungubung CESO IV graced the activity and presented the National Disaster Preparedness Plan. The four Vice-Chairpersons for DRRM, namely, DOST, DILG, DSWD, and NEDA also presented their respective initiatives while Save the Children Philippines did discuss the salient provisions of RA 10821 otherwise known as the Children’s Emergency Relief and Protection Act.
