In a significant stride toward inclusive and participatory urban governance, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII launched the Youth Consultation under its flagship Capacitating Urban Communities through Peace and Development (CUCPD) Program on May 29–30, 2025 in General Santos City — the pilot local government unit for this pioneering initiative.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government XII, in partnership with DILG - Bureau of Local Government Supervision, successfully conducted the 2025 Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) Technical Conference on May 28, 2025, at Greenleaf Hotel in General Santos City.
The event gathered CSIS Regional Focal Persons from Visayas and Mindanao, along with their partner Local Resource Institutes (LRIs), to collaboratively review and enhance the implementation guidelines of the CSIS.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII, in partnership with the DILG- Bureau of Local Government Supervision, successfully conducted an on-site monitoring for the Boosting Engagement and Civic Awareness through Open Communication Networks (BEACON) Project on May 26, 2025 at Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City.
The initiative is part of the FY 2024 Civil Society Participation Fund (CSPF), aimed at strengthening open governance and active citizenship in General Santos City.
As part of the nationwide observance of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month, a multi-agency Leveling Session on the EODB Law and Related Issuances was conducted on May 26, 2025 at Wagi B Conference Hall, DILG XII Regional Office XII, Prime Regional Center, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato, bringing together key persons from this office led by Atty. Twenty-one (21) Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) leaders in South Cotabato concluded their training journey and received their certificates of completion in the CSO Academy SOCCSKSARGEN Graduation Ceremony on May 27, 2025, in Koronadal City.
