Strengthening Coordination: SLGP – PMO RO Alignment Meeting Highlights Regional Collaboration for 2025 Initiatives

On January 24, 2025, key stakeholders from Region XII (Rehiyon Dose) gathered for the Support for Local Governance Program (SLGP) – PMO RO Alignment Meeting. This meeting was an essential step in aligning the program’s 2025 initiatives with the Operations Plan and Budget (OPB) to ensure the successful execution of SLGP goals.

The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to implement programs that enhance good governance, transparency, and accountability within local government units (LGUs). By aligning efforts, SLGP aims to support LGUs in driving inclusive development and improving public service delivery.

Attendees included Maria Theresa D. Bautista, LGCDD Chief, and Engr. Mary Ann R. Traspe, Assistant LGCDD Chief; Ian Jon S. Clemente, LGMED Chief; Mek Eros A. Barbecho, Budget Officer; Karen Grace A. Mohinog, Planning Officer; and SLGP Regional Coordination Teams (RCTs).

Key discussion points included aligning regional efforts with national goals to create a unified governance approach, optimizing resources for greater impact, and enhancing monitoring systems to track progress. The importance of stronger partnerships with LGUs, civil society organizations, and other partners was also emphasized.

The meeting proved to be a critical moment for aligning regional initiatives with national priorities, ensuring a shared responsibility and collaboration culture.
