The Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) of DILG Region XII ushered in the new year with a resolute commitment to collaboration and operational excellence during its first staff meeting on January 9, 2025, at Wagi Hall. Under the dynamic leadership of LGOO VII Maria Theresa D. Bautista, LGCDD Chief, the meeting set a strategic tone for 2025, emphasizing teamwork, alignment, and impactful program delivery.

In her opening remarks, Chief Bautista underscored the importance of regular monthly meetings as essential platforms for fostering collaboration, addressing program concerns, and aligning efforts with organizational objectives. She expressed gratitude for the team's dedication and encouraged sustained commitment to excellence, which she attributed to the steadfast support and visionary guidance of Regional Director Atty. Rochelle Mahinay-Sero, CESE.

A cornerstone of the meeting was the presentation of the 2025 Programs, Plans, and Activities (PPAs) as outlined in the Operational Plan and Budget (OPB). Program holders, including LGOO V Sheila Mae G. Kubik, LGOO VI Mary Eulen Y. Abdilah, LGOO III Jahleel Domingo, LGOO II Shylack C. Limao, LGOO II Rudelyn V. Timogtimog, Petal Cagape, Jhonny Jhon G. The session highlighted the importance of aligning activities across quarters to ensure efficient resource utilization and avoid overlaps. Through strategic categorization and synchronized scheduling, the division laid the groundwork for smooth and effective program execution.

The meeting also provided an avenue for program holders to articulate actionable strategies to achieve their OPB targets. Discussions revolved around addressing program-specific challenges, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring that initiatives remain responsive to the needs of local communities.

Engr. Mary Ann R. Traspe, Assistant Division Chief, emphasized the significance of synergy and collaboration in navigating challenges and seizing opportunities. “With a renewed focus on cohesive planning and execution, we are poised to drive sustainable development and progress at the local level,” she stated.

The first LGCDD staff meeting not only set a proactive agenda for the year but also reaffirmed the division's dedication to fostering a productive environment. By leveraging inclusive participation and strategic alignment, the LGCDD is well equipped to deliver impactful outcomes that contribute to building resilient and empowered local communities.
