The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office XII, through the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division, successfully conducted a two-day Prioritization Conference for the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) target barangays last July 23-24, 2024, at The Farm Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
This two-day Prioritization Conference aimed to identify major PPAs of the ELCAC target barangays which will be endorsed to the higher LGUs, national government agencies, congresspersons, and private sectors for possible funding.
LGMED Chief Musarapha A. Alim, MPA, delivered a welcome message, emphasizing the primary objective of ELCAC. “Our goal is to build a just and peaceful society where every citizen can thrive without fear of violence or insecurity,” Alim stated.
Meanwhile, LGOO VI Jon S. Clemente, the RCSP Focal Person, facilitated the workshop proper. He guided the participants on how they could strategize in identifying possible sources of funds for the implementation of their PPAs.
Participants of this activity included DILG Focal Persons, Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs), Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (MPDCs), Provincial Task Force (PTF) and Local Government Unit (LGU) Focal Persons. They are committed to ensuring that our communities can look forward to a future free from conflict and filled with hope and prosperity.
The participants were advised to submit their final workshop output since it is already the second semester of the year.
A Convergence Meeting will take place from the fourth week of July to the second week of August 2024, to discuss these prioritized PPAs with national government agencies and representatives of congressmen. This collaborative approach will ensure that your projects receive the necessary support and funding to be realized.
