DILG Regional Office XII headed by OIC Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero CESE, attended the Department of Agrarian Reform’s (DAR’s) distribution of E-Titles and Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) to the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Region XII today, March 24, 2024 at South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The event, a significant milestone in the government’s commitment to agrarian reform, was graced by His Excellency President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Also present during the event are DAR Secretary Conrado M. Estrella, III, TESDA Director General Suharto T. Mangudadatu, Gov. Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., Cong. Peter B. Miguel, and Cong Isidro D. Lumayag of South Cotabato Province, Gov. Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza, and Cong. Ma. Alana Samantha T. Santos of Cotabato Province, Gov. Datu Pax Ali S. Mangudadatu of Sultan Kudarat Province, Gov. Rogelio D. Pacquiao of Sarangani Province, Gov. Abdulraof Macacua of Maguindanao Norte, Local Chief Executives and Regional Directors of National Government Agencies (NGAs) of Region XII.
The issuance of Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) or electronic titles (e-titles) will formally recognize and grant ARBs the right to own land, thereby realizing their long-standing dream of secure land ownership. This initiative will have a significant impact on the security of land tenure for ARBs in the region.
Moreover, a total of 4,271 ARBs and 4,351 E-Titles and CLOAs were distributed, covering a total of 5,918.44 hectares of agricultural land.
This event marks a significant step forward in the government's mission to promote equitable land distribution and uplift the lives of Filipino farmers. The government remains dedicated to ensuring that the benefits of agrarian reform reach every corner of the country, fostering inclusive growth and rural development.
