The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region XII (DILG XII) took the helm in hosting the Macro-Economy, Development Administration, and Finance Committee (MEDAFC) XII 1st Quarter Regular Meeting for Fiscal Year 2024. The event convened today at The Farm Carpenter Hill, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato, under the theme: “Strengthening Good Governance through Nurturing Trust and Empowering Communities.”
Attended by various member-agencies, representatives, and stakeholders, the meeting delved into crucial discussions aimed at fostering sustainable development and empowering local communities. DILG XII OIC Regional Director, Atty. Rochelle Mahinay-Sero, CESE, through her delegated representatives, LGOO V Cristy Jane A. Buenaflor and LGOO V Genevieve Morales-Basuel, ensured the fruitful exchange of insights.
Among the key agenda items covered were updates on the preparation for the CY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Evaluation and DILG XII’s innovative practices in advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the region. Additionally, discussions revolved around the progress of the Gender and Development Program Implementation, with a focus on the diverse activities spearheaded by the Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) XII in commemoration of the Women’s Month.
Furthermore, participants were briefed on the status of the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Academy’s Scholars, shedding light on the collaborative efforts to nurture and support emerging leaders within the community.
The MEDAFC XII 1st Quarter Meeting served as a platform for fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and charting a course towards inclusive and sustainable development in Region XII.
