The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), through the Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) in coordination with the Local Fiscal Resource Development Division, Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD), conducted the Re-orientation on the Guidelines for Online Monitoring System of the Implementation of BPLS and BPCO on February 5, 2024 via Zoom.
This activity generally aimed to enhance the technical competencies of DILG Regional/Provincial/City EODB focal persons, C/MLGOOs and LGU concerned staff to effectively perform their roles relative to the Implementation of the Guidelines for Online Monitoring System of the Implementation of BPLS and BPCO. Further, it aimed to increase LGUs’ performance and compliance with RA 11032 otherwise known as Ease-of-Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery (EODB-EGSD) Act of 2018.
DILG XII OIC Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE, represented by Engr. Mary Ann R. Traspe, Assistant Division Chief of LGCDD emphasized in her message by saying “I strongly urge our participants – the BPLOs of each City/Municipality, to ensure that your respective LGUs have complied with the requirements of DILG MC No. 2021-008 Re: Guidelines for Online Monitoring System of the Implementation of Business Permits and Licensing System (BPLS) and Building Permits and Certificates of Occupancy (BPCO). Sana sa lalong madaling panahon lahat ng mga LGUs natin ay compliant na sa BPLS and BPCO Standards.”
The said training was graced by LGOO I Shella Marie A. Besinga, from the Local Fiscal Resource Development Division, Bureau of Local Government Development who served as the resource person. It was participated by one hundred (100) pax composed of the DILG Regional/Provincial/City EODB focal persons, C/MLGOOs, Business Permit and Licensing Officers and Building Officials from the LGUs of Rehiyon Dose.
