Assistant Regional Director Lailyn A. Ortiz CESO V joined the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the 2021 Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) in Columbio, Sultan Kudarat on February 3, 2021 on behalf of the DILG Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa CESO III.

Out of the 62 Projects in the province with a total amount of 240 Million Pesos, 11 Million pesos had been earmarked for the four (4) 2021 SBDP Projects in the Barangays of Mayo, Natividad and Maligaya in Columbio, Sultan Kudarat.

In her message, ARD Ortiz conveyed the message of the Regional Director which says: “we cannot emphasize enough kung ano ka importante sang edukasyon. Lahat tayo, alam ang bagay na ito” as the projects are school building construction.

She also quoted Albert Einstein’s “Education is what remains after one has forgotten what he learned in school.” (Ang edukasyon ang natatanging bagay na natitira sa isang tao, sakali mang makalimutan nito ang mga pinag-aralan sa eskuelahan.) ARD Ortiz also challenged the winning contractor to finish the project with better workmanship and high quality output within the target date of completion and she encouraged the residents of the three barangays to take care of the said projects.
