The said LGUs may now be qualified to propose projects to be funded under the Department’s Assistance to Municipalities (AM) and Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig para sa Lahat (SALINTUBIG) programs.
Under the AM and SALINTUBIG 2020 General Appropriations Act (GAA), LGUs are mandated to complete the governance reform requirements of the programs which include passing the Good Financial Housekeeping, Local Development Council Functionality, PFM Assessments, and other technical requirements.
DILG XII is set to endorse the proposed local projects of the 6 LGUs under the AM and SALINTUBIG programs to DILG Central Office for funding.
Meanwhile, DILG XII continually provides assistance to other LGUs who have yet to complete their PFM assessment and other technical requirements through its Project Management and Development Unit (PDMU).
The Department aims to endorse all of the LGUs’ proposed local projects for funding until end of June.
