The Department of the Interior and Local Government continues to develop a project monitoring system to keep track of the progress of projects in every localities. Project monitoring system is for the organization and project itself to see how it is doing against objective, whether it is having an impact, or if it is working efficiently. It also acts as an easy access tool for the citizens or beneficiaries to give feedbacks about the ongoing and completed government projects.
On September 5, 2018, a newly developed project by the Support to Local Government Program-Project Management Office (SLGP-PMO) of the Department of Interior and Local Government in partnership with the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) called Development Live (DevLIVE) System was the main agenda on the conduct of Development LIVE (DevLIVE) Platform Provincial Training of Trainers held at Villa Amor Hotel, Koronadal City, South Cotabato. The said activity was participated in by the LGCDD Chief Ma. Theresa D. Bautista, Assistant Division Chief Jermie E. Yeager, Regional and Provincial AM Focal Persons, Provincial Outcome Managers, AM-SLGP Regional and Provincial Team, AM-SLGP OPMO Project Development Officer, Mr. Norman M. Aparente, System Developers and Secretariat.
In behalf of Regional Director Reynaldo M. Bungubung, CESO IV, LGCDD Chief Ma. Theresa D. Bautista gave a welcome remarks. She reiterated that the National Government already invested a lot in the implementation of LGU projects and it’s about time to have a platform to look into the impacts of the projects.
Various lecture presentations were given by the SLGP OPMOs. Some of which were the Introduction to Development LIVE: Achieving SDGs in Infrastructure through local integrity, innovation and citizen empowerment, A Quick Glance on DevLIVE and Subaybayan System, Defining the System, Discussion on the User Roles and Functions, Simulation of Actual Reporting and Onsite Citizen’s Feedback at 1 completed project under the ADM 2017 Program located at Purok Lapu-lapu, Brgy. Poblacion, Tantangan, South Cotabato and Action Planning.
Development LIVE basically runs two systems, a web based LGU Reporting and the mobile application Citizens’ Feedback which is downloadable through Google according to SLGP OPMO Norman Aparente. The system itself was already made, however he is encouraging everyone to suggest and comment on how to improve the DevLIVE System.
