The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII, in coordination with the Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD) and Local Government Academy (LGA), conducted the first day of the Training-of-Trainers on Risk-Informed Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) Formulation and Updating for the Outcome Managers and Program Managers, Provincial/City Focal Persons of the region on August 23, 2022 at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
This CDP+ Training-of-Trainers serves as a learning avenue to effectively guide the LGUs in preparing/updating their plans as they align their development strategies with the new national priorities, thrust and with full devolution that will enable LGUs to formulate/update a draft risk-informed CDPs before FY 2022.
This activity is participated by the Outcome Managers and Program Managers, Provincial/City Focal Persons, to serve as trainers/resource persons in the provision of Technical Assistance in their respective area of responsibility to cater the needs of the client-LGUs in preparing/formulating/updating their risk-informed CDPs.
DILG XII Officer-In-Charge, PD Margarita H. Baynosa, MPA, of the Province of Sultan Kudarat, who represented RD Josephine Cabrido-Leysa CESO III, emphasized in her opening message the need “to empower ourselves with the right knowledge sapagkat ang inyong matututunan sa training na ito ay siya ring inyong maibabahagi sa ating mga client-LGUs. Nangangahulugan din na ang tagumpay at kabiguan sa pagbabalangkas ng Risk-Informed CDPs ng ating mga LGUs ay nakasalalay sa uri ng tulong-teknikal na inyong maibabahagi sa kanila.”
Further, PD Baynosa added that “isang malaking hamon ang bagay na ito sa bawat isa sa atin, subalit naniniwala akong ang pagsasanay na ito ay siyang magiging daan upang kayo ay magiging mas mahusay na tagapagsanay at tagapagbigay ng tulong-teknikal sa ating mga Lokal na Pamahalaan.”
The first part of the TOT started with the presentation of Module 1 which is on how to “Organize and Mobilize the Planning Team” and Module 2 which required attendees to “Revisit Existing Plans and Review LGU Vision” with LGOO VII Maria Theresa D. Bautista, the Outcome Manager of DILG South Cotabato as the resource person.
