A Seminar Workshop on Municipal Water Supply, Sewerage, and Sanitation Sector Plan (MW4SP) Preparation was recently conducted by the DILG XII in partnership with the Office of the Project Development Services-Water Supply and Sanitation Program Management Office (OPDS-WSSPMO) and the Regional Water and Sanitation (WatSan) hubs, at the Family Country Hotel and Convention Center, General Santos City.
In attendance were the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators, Municipal Engineers, Municipal Local Government Operations Officers, and Data Encoders from the 12 municipalities of Region XII under the SALINTUBIG Program.
The activity was undertaken with the end in view of further capacitating the participating municipalities in the planning, implementing, managing and sustaining the local water supply systems in their localities.
Among the topics discussed by Ms. Velouna R. Perez, a resource person from the Regional WatSAn Hub XI, were the: LGU Mapping Assessment, Sustainable Development Goals, Results-Based IWASH Sector Planning Tools and Processes, and the Existing condition of the Municipality Integrated Safe Water Sanitation and Hygiene Situation.
At the end of the activity, all LGUs were requested to submit a draft of their MW4SP.
