The Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) and Paving the Roads to Sustainable Development Goals through Good Local Government (Roads2SDGs) are partner programs of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The CMGP program provides fund for the implementation of various provincial road projects while Roads2SDGs informs and enhances the prioritization, planning, design, implementation and maintenance of infrastructure projects to the achievement of the SDGs, incorporating the elements of partnership building, climate change and disaster risk reduction, gender mainstreaming, and citizen participation for transparency and accountability.
The integration of Roads2SDGs to CMGP program also aims to provide support to quality assurance and its governance reform component; to assure efficient, resilient and well-planned local road networks across the country. This is in pursuit of JMC No. 1 series of 2017 issued by DILG and NEDA for our LGUs to contribute in the attainment of the SDGs targets.
