In a continuing effort to involve various stakeholders in the advocacy on Federalism, the DILG XII facilitated the conduct of the Multi-Stakeholders Forum on Federalism cum Consultation with CSOs/NGOs/POs – Batch 2 last 26 October 2017 at the Farm @ Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City. The forum was participated in by various regional line agencies, civil society, peoples and non-government organizations, and  representatives from academic institutions. Hon. Cyrus Torreña, a member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Sultan Kudarat served as the resource speaker. The first batch of the forum was conducted last September 27, 2017.

DILG XII HOSTS DIALOGUE WITH PUNONG BARANGAYS FOR SARANGANI PROVINCE AND GENERAL SANTOS CITY

Punong Barangays of the Province of Sarangani and General Santos City were gathered last 30 October 2017 at East Asia Royale Hotel, General Santos City in a Provincial Dialogue on Federalism facilitated by the DILG XII. The activity gave the Punong Barangays an avenue to raise issues and concerns regarding the proposed shift to a federal form of government. The activity is the first of the series of provincial dialogues to be facilitated by DILG XII. 

DILG XII HOLDS FIRST SYMPOSIUM ON FEDERALISM AT MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY 

Around one hundred (100) university students in Mindanao State University, Fatima Campus, General Santos City attended the Symposium on Federalism last 25 October 2017 at their AVR, New Library Building. Atty. Michelle Anne P. Viejo, Legal Officer of DILG XII served as the Resource Speaker. Symposia at universities and colleges in Koronadal, Tacurong and Kidapwan Cities shall complete the series of activities.
