The Department of the Interior and Local Government XII and MRRD-Federalism, Inc. forged a partnership in a ceremonial MOA signing during the Regional Orientation on Federalism Cum Consultation with CSOs/POs/NGOs on June 14, 2018 at Hotel de Viajera, Koronadal City.
In her welcome message, ARD Lailyn Ortiz, CESE, recognizes the indispensable role of CSOs/POs/NGOs in the information advocacy campaign on federalism, especially in reaching the grassroots levels. She also pronounced her delight in seeing various colors assembled in a room. Further, ARD Ortiz asked for the support as advocacy partners of the CSOs and encouraged them to file for accreditation to be recognized by DILG.
Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, a member of Regional Federalism Speaker’s Bureau and the DILG Provincial Director of Sarangani Province, enthusiastically presented the Emerging Models of Federalism in vernacular and keenly answered the questions raised by the participants. This was followed by the presentation of Revised Guidelines on the implementation of Federalism-related information advocacy campaign activities per DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2018-79 presented by Jermie A. Erie-Yeager, DILG12 LGCDD Assistant Division Chief.
The whole day activity was also participated by Hugpong Federal Movement of the Philippines, Inc. and Coalition on Social Development Organization.
