The Department of Health (DOH) Region 12 launched a two-day orientation and signup preparatory workshop on FITools, a Healthy Workplace Program. The event, which ran from August 6 to August 7, 2024, was held at the Greenleaf Hotel in General Santos City.
The workshop aimed to promote healthy workplace practices and was attended by various stakeholders, including the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 12. The DILG’s Finance and Administrative Division (FAD), specifically staff from the Personnel and Records Section, actively participated in the event.
Active participation was observed during the workshop from participating agencies: Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XII, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) XII, DENR-Environment Management Bureau XII, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) XII, Civil Service Commission (CSC) XII, and Occupational Safety and Health Compliance Office (OSHCO) General Santos City, all coming together to support the DOH’s initiative to foster healthier work environments across the region.
The FITools program focused on implementing strategies and tools to enhance the wellbeing of employees, ultimately aiming to improve productivity and overall health standards within workplaces. The DOH 12 hoped that this initiative would pave the way for a healthier, more productive workforce in the region.
