The DILG XII in cooperation with the Office of the Project Development Services (OPDS) and Assistance to the Disadvantaged Municipalities-Oversight Project Management Office (ADM-OPMO) spearheaded the conduct of the Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) Program CY 2017 Orientation and Planning Workshop on August 14-15, 2017 (Batch 1) for the Provinces of South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat, and on August 15-16, 2017 (Batch 2) for the Cotabato and Sarangani, at Mt. Sabrina, General Santos City.
Participated in by the DILG Provincial Directors, ADM Provincial Focal Persons, Local Chief Executives, Municipal Local Government Operations Officers, Municipal Planning and Development Officers, Municipal Accountants, and the Municipal Engineers of the respective municipalities and Provinces, the activities were undertaken to orient the participants on the salient features of the Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities Program.
No less than the DILG XII Regional Director Reynaldo M. Bungubung, CESO IV graced the Orientation and Planning Workshop. In his message, he said “The Department continues to conduct necessary capacity development activities, to assist you, key officials from the LGUs, in fulfilling your mandates as civil servants. … We want you to be more equipped and adept in performing your duties and responsibilities towards the attainment of a more responsive governance…. I believe, through the spirit of cooperation, we can improve our overall performance in terms of fund utilization, disbursement and project implementation from this year forward.”
On the last day of the activities, an LGU Action Planning Workshop was facilitated by the DILG XII Training Management Team in order to help the participants in planning out their implementation schedule as basis for the implementation of ADM projects in their respective LGUs.
