The 34th Civil Registration Month celebration in Region XII brought together agencies from four provinces with a shared goal of shaping the future of seamless services. Held in Paraiso Verde, Koronadal City, the event fostered discussions on advancements in civil registration.
Regional Director Atty. Maghatar L. Manulon, CESO V (PSA XII), served as a source of inspiration as he delivered a message, delving and emphasizing into the historical roots of the civil registration system to pave the way for its future. The collaborative spirit displayed during this celebration underscores the commitment to improving and modernizing civil registration services in Region XII, leaving participants with new insights and a shared vision for the future.
The highlight of the event was the showcase of innovation through the presentation of entries for the 3rd National Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (NCCRVS) 2023 Most Innovative Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO). Three outstanding projects were unveiled: Electronic-Civil Registry Archiving System (E-CRAS); Preserving the Past, Empowering the Future: Kasalang Tribu Irehistro Program focused on preserving cultural heritage through registration; and, Streamlined Barangay Civil Registration: Bringing Civil Registration Closer to the People that showcased an initiative to enhance accessibility to civil registration services at the grassroots level.
The session also featured a Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Quiz Bee, engaging participants from various agencies. This interactive segment aimed to test and enhance the participants' knowledge of civil registration practices and vital statistics. The 34th Civil Registration Month celebration was a testament to the commitment of DILG Region XII and its partner agencies in advancing seamless services and embracing innovation for the benefit of the community.
