Barangay Poblacion in Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat took center stage during Week 18 of the BarKaDa (Barangay Kalinisan Day) clean-up drive, a pivotal aspect of the nationwide KALINISAN (Kalinga at Inisyatiba para sa Malinis na Bayan) Program.
Community residents, alongside the barangay local government unit, collaborated with various sectors including 4Ps, BPATS, BHW, Purok Presidents, and Senior Citizens, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the cause rooted in the spirit of Filipino Bayanihan.
MLGOO Roberto Petingco graced the occasion with an inaugural address, encouraging all to embrace BarKaDa as a cornerstone of community life, brimming with enthusiasm, dedication, and genuine passion. "Sama-sama nating buuin ang isang Bagong Pilipinas."
The Punong Barangay delivered a resolute Message of Commitment, impressing upon constituents that the success of this endeavor hinges solely on their collective efforts. "No one will ever help us and reach the success of this endeavor except ourselves. Let's join hands in this campaign and collectively witness its significance and beauty." Hon. Vasquez also proudly announced that, in line with the BarKaDa initiative and as part of their ongoing efforts to keep the barangay ready at all times, the final evaluation for the search of the cleanest purok is currently underway.
