DILG DOSE ORIENTS LGUS ON TELPOMS

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII, through the Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) in coordination with the Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD), conducted the Rehiyon Dose’s EODB Focal Persons Orientation on Memorandum Circular No. 2021-116, or the Guidelines on the Implementation of the Telecommunication Permit Online Monitoring System (TELPOMS) for Cities and Municipalities, via Zoom today, January 22, 2025.

 

The activity was participated in by the provincial/city EODB focal persons and alternate focal persons, C/MLGOOs, and select local government units’ local functionaries with the invited resource persons from the Bureau of Local Government Development (LGOO V Lucita LV Dela Peňa, Project Officer I Fritzgerald Marc C. Nuestro, and LGOO III John Rense R. Gelua) and the Information System and Technology Management Service (Information System Researcher Jomar Gorospe) of DILG Central Office.

 

This activity generally aims to orient Rehiyon Dose’s EODB Focal Persons on the salient features of MC No. 2021-116 and Walkthrough on the Monitoring System to better equip them with the necessary knowledge in monitoring the compliance of local government units to the guidelines set by MC No. 2021-116 through the Telecommunication Permit Online Monitoring System (TELPOMS).

 

In her opening message, DILG XII Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE, shared that the “Regional Management is doing its best to provide the necessary knowledge and information that will create empowered EODB Focal Persons of the region. Hangad nating mabigyan ng gabay ang ating mga EODB Provincial/City Focal Persons sa tulong ng ating mga invited resource persons mula sa DILG-BLGD at DILG-ISTMS at nang kanilang matagumpay at mahusay na magampanan ang kanilang tungkulin at mga responsibilidad para sa mas epektibong pagbibigay serbisyo sa mga pamahalaang lokal.”

 

The said orientation served as an avenue for learning with the support and active participation of the Zoom participants, where they learn, unlearn, and relearn things that helped them provide efficient government service delivery to their respective constituents.

 

It successfully ended with a closing message from OIC Assistant Regional Director Engr. Samuel A. Camaganacan, where he thanked all the participants for their active participation in the said virtual orientation and looked forward to the learning gained being applied in their respective provinces/cities/offices.
