On August 8-9, 2019, forty- eight (48) members (26 women and 22 men) of the Comprehensive Development Plan- Technical Assessment Committee (CDP- TAC) of four (4) Provinces attended the 2- Day Capacity Building held at FB Hotel and Convention Center, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The DILG Provincial Directors, DILG CDP Provincial Focal Persons, Provincial Planning Development Coordinators (PPDCs), PPDO personnel, Provincial Social Welfare Development Officers (PSWDOs), Provincial Treasurers, and Provincial Budget Officers (PBO) were the participants as key members of the CDP- TAC.
Specifically, it focused on the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2018-172 issued on October 08, 2018 providing guidelines on CDP assessment for component LGUs. The conduct of Assessment Simulation using one (1) CDP of component LGU based on the CDP Assessment Checklists and the detailed discussion of five (5) clustered steps of Enhanced CDP Process were the major activity/ inputs being highlighted. The very purpose of said assessment to further strengthen the oversight function of Provinces over their respective LGUs was accentuated to achieve the vertical alignment of CDP to the Provincial/ Regional/ National Thrusts and Priorities.
Indeed, the participants as Provincial CDP Assessors productively increased their understanding on CDP Assessment and expressed confidence to conduct the same on March 2020 to become objectively successful.
