Fostering Growth Mindsets: Sarangani Junior Officials’ Institutional Visit to DILG XII

As part of the 2024 Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration, the Provincial Governor’s Office of Sarangani, through its Provincial Youth Development Division, organized an Institutional Visit to the Department of the Interior and Local Government XII on August 29, 2024.

 

The visit aimed to immerse the Sarangani Junior Officials (SJO) in the workings of key government agencies, offering them a hands-on learning experience. The young leaders gained insight into how the DILG operates to foster stronger communities and promote peace across the SOCCSKSARGEN region.

The event took place on the 3rd Floor of the DILG Regional Office XII in Koronadal City, bringing together key committee members for an essential discussion on disaster readiness.

DILG Region 12 Participates in Three-Day Workshop to Localize National Farm-to-Market Road Network Plan

General Santos City, Philippines – The Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 12 recently participated in a three-day workshop aimed at localizing the National Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) Network Plan for 2023-2028. The workshop, organized by the Department of Agriculture, took place from August 13-15, 2024, at the Greenleaf Hotel in General Santos City.

The 1002nd Infantry (Bagwis) Brigade of the Philippine Army commemorated its 18th activation anniversary on August 22, 2024, at Camp Agaab, Barangay Malandag, Malungon, Sarangani Province. Distinguished guests, including representatives from the congressional office, local government units, national government agencies, and private institutions, gathered to celebrate the milestone.

DILG Region XII Conducts First Roll-out Training on Localized NAP-P/CVE Module and EWPR for South Cotabato and General Santos City Barangays

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII held the first batch of the Roll-out Training on the Localized National Action Plan on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (NAP-P/CVE) Module and Orientation on the Early Warning, Prevention, and Response (EWPR) to the Risks of Violent Extremist (VE) Groups. The event took place on August 14, 2024, at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill in Koronadal City, South Cotabato, and gathered key local leaders, including Punong Barangays, Sangguniang Barangay Member on Peace and Order and Safety, and Chief Tanods from targeted barangays in South Cotabato Province and General Santos City.
